CAD Tools

The Digital Integrated Circuits and Systems Group has developed a variety of tools for design, simulation and verification of integrated circuits and systems. These tools are listed below:

JouleTrack

JouleTrack is a web-based software profiling tool that enables an application developer to estimate the energy consumption of software on the StrongARM processor. The user simply uploads his/her code, selects the available processor operating conditions, memory maps, and compilation options and gets a cycle accurate report of the program execution, along with energy statistics. It supports a hierarchical profiling technique that trades off simulation accuracy for simulation time.
JouleTrack is no longer be available online as of July 1, 2006.

PR3D

A placement and routing tool for standard cell design in 3D.

3-D Magic

A comprehensive layout methodology for 3D circuit layout editing and extraction with Magic, a widely used layout editor in academia. 3-D Magic is supported on all platforms on which Magic is supported.
